contemplating stuff

Among the courses that I have to take is one called "Therapeutic Relations" it deals with many of the interpersonal ways that we (Not the royal "we" but the massage therapists as a group "we") deal with clients. Most of the course is about maintaining appropriate boundaries between ourselves and our clients, what our scope of practice is etc. We recently had a class dealing with "judgment" and ways in which therapists should be nonjudgmental. We shouldn't judge people based on race, religion, sexual orientation, occupation and so on.

It made me wonder just how judgmental/nonjudgmental most people are. How many times have you been dismissed out of hand because your too short, too fat, too gay, too old to young, of a particular race, religion, don't where the right cloths.. whatever.

I know its happened to me. And worse, I'm sure I have done it.

This section in this course is making me think: What ways do I judge people? (I think it would be supremely arrogant to suggest that I do not judge).

I want to say more about this....

But I think it sounds judgmental...

Midterm Madnes

Midterms are over.

YAY!

They were not nearly as bad as I thought they would be. I was convinced I had done very poorly on my Oral Practicals and I got over 80% on both of them.

PHEW!
